Not history...her story

old books

IN ONE WAY OR ANOTHER, I've been creating stories my whole life. The last fifteen years have yielded my most productive work. My credits span the academic to general interest and include articles, literary guides, educational curricula, poetry, grants, ad copy, essays, fiction, and nonfiction.

GROWING UP FELT WAY TOO hard in my house. I spent years inside books, sheltering myself against the domestic storm by fleeing to two special places: the public library and down the shore. Not surprisingly, much of my work revolves around ocean and water imagery, and the draw of libraries for people in all stages of literacy.

IN 2000, I RETURNED TO my home state of Pennsylvania after finding a niche in multimedia and teaching English Composition and Women's Studies for almost a decade at VA Tech.

These days, I stay delightfully busy! I work with a phenomenal technology team designing educational multimedia for Penn State University's Justice and Safety Institute, write and publish, teach, offer integrative health services
, and feed my hands-on creative vibe selling lovely handcrafted jewelry at Zoliann's Garden, an online Etsy shop.

A blessing, all of it!
